THE NOW-SIGHTS

"But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."
- Ephesians 2:13
Being a new creature in Christ Jesus, it is expected of you that you change your sight and your focus. 2 Corinthians 5:17, "...Behold, all things have become new." The way you should now see all things should no longer be the way it was seen in the past, for you are no longer in the past. You are to see all things new. Your sight is a sight of the now.
However, there are many now-sights in the bible that we as the new creatures should have. The first I will like to bring to us is according to our opening verse. You know, in the book of Isaiah 59:2, it was said, "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear." This message was for then. What about the now? Our opening verse justifies it, "But NOW in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ." This means that the iniquity that separated us from God has been washed away by the blood of Jesus. We are no longer separated from God because of our iniquity, because God no longer remembers our iniquity. We are now drawn near to God by the blood of Jesus. Hallelujah! This is something to shout about.
Another now-sight we should also have is in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus..." Condemnation is a thing of the past for you. You no longer will be punished for the sins you committed. Jesus has received the punishment for you over 2000 years ago. You are simply discharged and acquainted. The Father no longer condemns you. Now are you not condemned. You are not cursed, your sins are forgiven. Hallelujah!
In all the many now-sights we have in the bible, I will lastly like to bring us to that in 1 John 3:2. It says, "Beloved, NOW are we the sons of God.." Being a son of God is not what you will become in future, it is what you are at present. When you live in the consciousness of these now-sights, it will help you live freely with all good authority, knowing that you are no longer far from God, you are no longer the condemned, and your Father is the owner of the earth and everything, as well as everyone that fills it. You are the blessed!
