ASK ANYTHING IN JESUS NAME

"If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it."
- John 14:14
Jesus in this context has proven to us the reason people don't get what they ask. It's simply because they don't ask in the name of Jesus. Also, understand that, including the name of Jesus in your prayer request is not what shows that you are praying in the name of Jesus. For instance, some people ask, Father give me a car in the name of Jesus. There's more to asking in the name of Jesus.
To ask in the name of Jesus, is to ask according to the will of the Father.
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us."
- 1 John 5:14
Therefore asking in the name of Jesus, is asking according to the will of the Father. Now, what is the will of the Father? You know this by first knowing what's not the will of the Father.
"And even when you do ask you don't get it because your whole aim is wrong--you want only what will give you pleasure."

Our self will is always not the will of the Father. Our self will brings lust, but God's will produces love. Our self will only please us, but God's will pleases us, God and others. Asking God for a car is not wrong, your motive behind the request of the car is what makes it right or wrong. It is the will of God when your aim is not to use it for revenge, or for pride, or to shame others. The will of God is the Word of God. Ask anything with the right motive, let what you ask please you and please God too. God wants to give you all things, yet He will not give you evil things, simply for your own good. So ask Him anything only with good reasons.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you because I know you are a loving Father, and you give me everything I ask for. Help me to ask according to your will in all, that I may always receive. Amen!
