Have you ever wondered why God rejected Cain's offering and accepted Abel's?.
It wasn't that God preferred beef to vegetables.
As a kid I was taught in the children class that Cain offered bad fruits as sacrifice and Abel offer the best among his flocks to God, that why God choose his sacrifice and rejected Cain.
These kept me wondering, is it not same GOD who provide rain and also the creator of the soil on which Cain sows why must his fruits be bad?. These has been on my mind, but of recent I got the realities on what actually happened.
The reasons was much deeper than the actual gifts the two brothers brought before the Lord.
Abel was foresighted, he know what God want at that very moment.
The key to understanding the Lord's action is to know the kind of offering the lord requires of you.
On these occasion, the sacrifice the lord asked of them was a "SIN OFFERING". Not from their abundant on which he has blessed them.

Based on the separation that happened in the garden of eden man bond with God was interrupted by sin. So for the sake of love God generated an option for communion with man through the introduction of sacrifice. This scenario was what led to the demand of the sacrifice.
